Your map to Dimraeth progression: the skill tree's four wings, XP-trained attributes, the level 25 cap, and what community tier lists actually say.

Dimraeth's progression is unusual, and understanding it early saves hours. The game fuses leveling and character building into a single loop: XP you earn from combat and quests is spent as a currency at trainers to raise attributes, and that same act of training advances your character level, which in turn grants points for a large skill tree. Your current ceiling is level 25, with more headroom promised as new Acts arrive. These four pages cover every layer of that system for the Steam Early Access build — what is officially confirmed, and what is community-reported, always clearly separated.

Start here: the reading order

If you read only one page, make it the attributes guide, because attributes are the engine everything else runs on. The recommended order for new players:

  1. Attributes — the XP-as-currency system, the stats players have identified (Strength, Agility, Physique, Memory, Intelligence, and more), their reported effects, and how to spend without wasting.
  2. Skill tree — the four wings (two race, two class), the corner nodes unique to your archetype, where skill points come from, and the respec route.
  3. Level cap — why 25 is the current ceiling, how it differs from deed levels, and when Mudtek expects to raise it.
  4. Tier list — what early community rankings say about the nine launch archetypes, and why you should trust them lightly.

The progression loop in one minute

Combat and quests earn XP. XP buys attribute points at a trainer or fireplace, and community guides report those purchases are what fill your level bar — unspent XP never levels you. Levels grant skill points (one detailed guide counts two per level), which you invest in the skill tree: officially, each race-and-class pairing has its own tree and playstyle, and players describe four wings with hybrid corner nodes. Currently three races — Elf, Minotaur, Human — combine with three classes — Shadow, Mage, Brawler — for nine archetypes, with eight races, six classes, and 48 archetypes planned for the full release.

Spells tie the layers together. Your race and class grant spells, the tree modifies them, and spellbooks unlock universal magic only if your attributes meet each spell's requirements. That makes attribute planning and spell planning the same activity: the fire spell you want next dictates the Memory or Intelligence you train today.

What each page answers

The attributes page is the reference for the training loop itself: where to train, what stats reportedly do, and how attribute requirements gate spellbooks. The skill tree page maps the tree's structure, explains how modifiers transform spells, and walks through resetting your points — community guides describe respec potions, including an elixir of rebirth from Befr's upgraded sanctum shop, though the exact mechanics are not officially documented.

The level cap page covers the number everyone asks about: 25 today, rising with later Acts per Mudtek, and completely separate from deed levels, which are player-controlled difficulty dials. The tier list page rounds it out with the launch-week community meta — the Minotaur Brawler frontline consensus, the Elf caster case, the Shadow debate — framed honestly as opinion from a game that is days into Early Access.

How we keep these pages honest

Dimraeth's official documentation is still thin, so every page here separates confirmed facts — the level 25 cap, the archetype structure, five-spell loadouts — from community reports marked with phrases like "community guides report" or "early players have found." Each page carries its last-checked date, and version-sensitive numbers like the level cap are flagged as time-bound. If a future patch changes training prices, respec behavior, or the cap itself, the affected pages get updated first.

Progression never happens in a vacuum, either: XP flows faster with the farming routes in our guide section, the nine archetypes come together in the classes and builds hub, and the spells your attributes unlock are documented in the crafting and equipment category. Use those alongside these pages once your first character is underway.

FAQ

What is the max level in Dimraeth?

The current level cap is 25 in the Steam Early Access build, and Mudtek has said it will rise when later Acts are added. Until then, extra XP still buys attributes past the cap.

How do you get skill points in Dimraeth?

Community guides report that spending XP at a trainer raises attributes and advances your character level, and each level grants skill points for the skill tree. Training and leveling are one system, not two.

Can you undo a bad build in Dimraeth?

Yes, at least partially. Community guides report the skill tree can be reset with respec potions such as an elixir of rebirth from Befr's upgraded shop. Whether raw attributes reset as cleanly is still uncertain.
